Setup guide
How to set up Nomad IPTV on MAG & Formuler Devices
What you need
- A MAG set-top box (for example MAG 322, 424 or 524) or a Formuler box, connected to your TV
- The box's MAC address (on the label underneath; MAG addresses start 00:1A:79)
- A portal URL from Nomad IPTV support, issued for your MAC address
Compatible player options
- Built-in MAG portalNo app installation is needed.
No downloads are required — MAG boxes use their built-in system settings.
Step-by-step installation
- 1
Send your MAC address
Message support with your box's MAC address so it can be linked to your trial or subscription.
- 2
Open system settings
On the MAG home screen choose Settings → System settings → Servers → Portals.
- 3
Add the portal
Enter a name in Portal 1 name (for example Nomad IPTV) and the portal URL from support in Portal 1 URL.
- 4
Save and restart
Save the settings, go back and choose Restart portal (or reboot the box).
- 5
Wait for loading
The portal loads your channels and guide; this can take a few minutes the first time.
- 6
Formuler boxes
Open MYTVOnline, choose to add a portal, and enter the portal name and URL from support. Menu names differ between Formuler models and app versions — contact support if you can't find the option.
Where to enter your Nomad IPTV details
MAG devices do not use a username and password. Your access is tied to the MAC address you send us, and support provides the portal URL to enter.
Recommended settings
- Keep the box's firmware up to date through its system settings.
- Use an Ethernet cable — MAG boxes perform best on a wired connection.
Troubleshooting
- Video buffers or freezes
- Use a wired Ethernet connection or a strong 5 GHz Wi-Fi signal, restart your router and device, and close other heavy downloads. HD streams generally need a stable 10–25 Mbps; 4K needs more. If buffering continues on several channels, contact support with the channel name and time.
- “Your STB is blocked” or similar portal error
- Check that the MAC address you sent matches the label exactly and that the portal URL was typed correctly, then restart the box. Contact support if the error continues.
